Be sure to use food grade hydrogen peroxide to keep all of those additives from your skin. It is more expensive than the drugstore type, but healthier.

In NM, our bird of paradise shrubs are more yellow and pink. Do yours make the seed pods that twist when ripe and fling seeds hither and yon?

I second the request for the dish soap stretcher.

I've been using whipped butter containers for the same thing for a couple of years. I love that the "cube" stays around for a pretty long time.

I, too, am confused by the directions. I plan to give this a go and slice the roll in half as directed and spread one half with the filling and top with the other half, pressing the edges together then topping with the remaining spice mix or I may try some other configuration.

Was this meant to be an open-face (pizza-like) treat? Hard to know.

Anyone else have other ideas?

I had a lovely little kitty who was advancing in years, but was still my lap kitty and seemed ok, until I noticed that she was drooling and her mouth had a bad smell. Thinking that it was just teeth that needed removing I took her into the vet and they found a tumor on the roof of her mouth.

The doctor said that they could treat the cancer and she might live a few to several more months, but she just was miserable and I thought back on the almost 15 years of pleasure she had given me then I decided to let her go and have her euthanized.

Afterwards, when they were asking if I wanted to take her home to bury her or have them deal with, the doctor mentioned that they might do an autopsy on her to study her tumor and maybe help other animals with similar problems.

No one can tell you what you "must" do for your boy. You know him best and I know you will do what is best for him. Sometimes that means making a hard decision, which is not always the one people assume it is in euthanasia, sometimes the hard decision is choosing to continue treatment because your boy is not ready to go.

I wish you a clear idea of what you want and need to do.

Bless your heart! I can see that you are doing everything that you can to live within your means, even as outside forces squeeze you harder and harder as time goes on. If you have a balcony, perhaps you can grow a few vegetables in containers? Herbs grow well in windows as well.

Keep thinking positively.

O.M.G! I love you! I've looked for reasonably priced oilcloth for years and it was always too much money for more fabric than I needed. Now I can "oil" just the amount of fabric I'll need for my projects as I go!

This tip totally rocks.

Have you ever tried making sun tea?

I always have clear tea when I make it that way. It's not fast, but it's pretty easy.

I use 2 regular tea bags per 8oz of water in whatever clear, glass jar I put out in the sun.

Just make sure it will not be in the shade for at least 3-4 hours (you can leave it longer if necessary) and just bring it indoors when the tea has brewed enough for your liking.

The tea has never been bitter or cloudy in all the times I have made it this way.

From the looks of him/her, I'd say Chihuahua is a good guess, especially if the dog is small.

BTW, vinegar will change the pH of the water and could easily kill your fish.

I've seen products for sale called barley straw balls, which is supposed to deter the formation of the algae, so I would think you could try wheat or oat straw, if that's more readily available to you, but you should try to give it some sort of floating assistance, like tie on a sealed empty plastic bottle.

Good luck!
