Serving Food at PartiesWhile it's easiest to put out a lot of food at once, you can save a lot of waste and possibly prevent some food poisoning by putting food out in smaller batches and replacing it as it runs out.
Plastic Cake Container for a SaladWhen making a large salad to carry to a potluck dinner, use a plastic cake server, turned upside down. I did this for a seven layer salad. The salad showed nicely through the clear plastic, and the "bottom" of the container makes a convenient lid.
