Wildlife: Blue Marine ButterflyThe butterfly that I photographed above is a Blue Marine Butterfly, and is not very large. It is beautiful and I found it on one of my ivy geraniums sometime ago.
Wildlife: Finch in Autumn Tree (Hillsboro, OR)We have a variety of birds that come to our yard to get seed from the feeders we have hung up. The large Weeping Chinese Cherry tree in the front gives them cover and a place to congregate while zipping back and forth to the feeders.

Lion Resting in ShadeTwo weeks ago, we went on a game drive at Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve. The reserve boasts four of the big five, including buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard. The lion park is a new addition. It is a sanctuary for lions that will not be able to survive in the wild.
Yellow-billed Duck (Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary,...I visited one of my favorite spots when I needed a quick break, i.e the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary. It is quite close to home, a tranquil garden with a few small perennial dams that attract a multitude of birds. A beautiful spot for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
Nyala (Dinokeng North, South Africa)Our staff went on a team building experience at Camp Discovery in Dinokeng North. To end the day, we went for a game drive. We saw several beautiful and unique animals, but the pick of the day was this nyala.
