Clothes Hanger Wind ChimeI love the subtle sound of a wind chime. The sound can be created to be as subtle or as loud as the pieces you use to create your chime. I chose to use one of my favorite sounds (bells). I found these bells on clearance, but most craft stores carry them year around. These were a nice size and in my favorite colors.
Making A Bamboo Wind ChimeI wanted to create a small zen garden next to our deck. It needed something extra, hmmmm, a wind chime! I created a bamboo wind chime to give my garden area a relaxing flare, very simple!
Recycled Key Wind ChimeUse old keys from long forgotten or lost padlocks, wrecked and binned suitcases, your granny's replaced wooden front door, and the key to untold riches which never quite fitted the lock and make them bright and colorful. Hang to make beautiful music when the cold windy weather would otherwise make you miserable.
Driftwood Wall HangingGet back to nature with this very inexpensive gift. I make them with seashells, rocks, gemstones, anything I can get my hands on.
Recycled Angel WindchimesA windchime made from mostly recycled stuff.
Silver Spoon WindchimesYou can use old silver spoons from yard sales and thrift shops to make a windchimes with a beautiful sound.
Bucket Wind ChimesMake use of old tin buckets and turn them into wind chimes. When the large chimes I bought broke from the wood ring on top that had rotted from the winter weather, I used my tin buckets as the base and bonger to give them new life and a prettier look.
Bottle Wind ChimesI make the wind chimes out of liquor bottles, wine bottles, and this one happens to be a wine cooler bottle. I use a glass cutter and cut off the bottom. I use a ceramic knife sharpener to smooth the sharp edges. If it has a screw on top, that's a plus.
Recycled Clay Pot Wind ChimesUse up your old scrap pieces of wood and clay pots to create this summer wind chime to enjoy. I used a sailboat theme with an old scrap piece of wood, little clay pots, white nylon cording for strings and added big washers for the chimes.
Clay Pot Wind ChimeWe all love wind chimes. Me? I love the sound of wooden wind chimes. And this project allows you to have fun with your kids and create a chime made out of simple items. The end result is something to be proud of and looks great hanging out on the patio.
