ThriftyFun Updates (March 2022)We are announcing some big changes to both our newsletters and contests as of March 1st, 2022.

 

Happy Founder's Day 2021Every March 9th is Founder's Day at ThriftyFun. That's the day we remember our founder Susan Sanders-Kinzel. This year would have been her 73rd birthday.

 

Holiday Bonus for Christmas CraftsGet ready to share your creativity this holiday season. We are excited to announce our holiday bonus program for Christmas or holiday craft submissions. We are looking for instructions for making wreaths, ornaments, centerpieces, stockings, and decorations of all types.

 

Contest and Bonus ChangesRecently we have been receiving far more submissions than is usual and our editors have had to make some hard choices about which submissions to keep. Because of this, we are announcing some new changes to our photo bonuses and contests. This should allow us to pay for the very best content we receive, while still allowing all our members to have a voice when sharing tips. Here are the changes, effective September 1st.

 

ThriftyFun's Founder's DayMarch 9th is ThriftyFun's Founder's Day, in remembrance of our founder and mother, Susan Sanders-Kinzel. She had learned frugal ways as a single mother and was no stranger to hard work. We would always make her take her birthday off, calling it a ThriftyFun holiday.

 

Garden Photo ContestAs of May 1st, we are switching our general Photo contest to focus on Garden photos. Send pictures of your spring flowers, yard improvement projects or wildlife from your garden. All will be shared in our Gardening newsletters as well as will be eligible for our monthly prize.

 

ThriftyFun Newsletter ProblemsWe have discovered a major glitch in our newsletter subscription service. This is affecting people who have accidentally unsubscribed from our newsletters as well as people who have tried to change their email address for newsletter delivery.
