Simply Stuffed BearsI am making these for a charitable donation to a local police station to give to children who may be facing a traumatic situation. They are simple to make and you can use small scraps of fabric and ribbon and a little stuffing, so they are inexpensive. Just requires your time.
English Paper Pieced Flower PillowMy grandson was visiting one day while I was working on some English paper pieced hexagons. He asked if I could make him a pillow. By adding several more rounds to the size I was making for a quilt top block I was able to make a flower. That part was fairly quick. Then he announced that there needed to have a stem with leaves; the project expanded in time and minor complexity.
Stuffed Animal Eye PatchMy son's beloved lobster, Larry, recently lost his eye after our dog found him all alone in the living room. :) In an effort to make him more comfortable with his injury I made him an eye patch.
Scrap Fleece Puppy PillowsThese adorable toys are perfect travel and bedtime companions for small children. Great way to use your fleece and other fabric scraps. I also use small scraps as part of the stuffing by mixing it in with the fiber fill.
Zik the ZinosaurI enjoy making a lot of the gifts that I give my grandchildren and when you have 5, it always helps to get an early start on Christmas. I try to think of a new idea each holiday for them and this year, as one of their gifts, they will be adopting an alien and a pet.
Crazy Caterpillar CraftDo you like bugs and creepy crawlies? Even if the answer is no, you are sure to love this particular caterpillar! Caterpillars are very cute, especially if they are made with tube socks or tights!
