Replacement for Bed Slats on a Single Bed Frame? My granddaughter's bed has those wooden slats on her bed frame. While she's been with me, they've come off several times and a few have broken. I need to find something to replace them with. I've had a look around the place but nothing jumps out as being any use. So then I looked online for wooden planks. They'd need to be about 3 feet long (36, or possibly 37 inches to fit across) but I got quite confused as I'm only used to feet and inches, even now. Also they seem quite expensive. She's quite a heavy girl and not the daintiest! I just wondered if anyone had a brainwave? Mine are sadly lacking! Thank you!

Side view of a coffee table.

What Material Is My Coffee Table?I recently purchased this table from a private party and he said it was a unique Goa table from India, but it had this one mark on it already when I bought it. He didn't know what it was then. Since I've had it, all these little spots keep appearing and I'm assuming something I'm putting on the table is rubbing on it. I don't know how to protect it. It looks like it's made out of snakeskin or some kind of skin or cardboard because the spots I try to scratch them off and they get bigger so it's obviously cardboard or something. I want to know what I can use to protect it, like a polyurethane or something. The outer is wood and the brown layer is like a tile I think and then the middle is like a cardboard or something like that. I'm not sure what I can use to keep it from getting more spots on it. Thank you

Repairing A Glider Chair? The screws in my 30+ year-old glider (used daily) are getting loose again. Has anyone tried replacing screws with nuts/bolts?
