Goat (New Delhi, India)While traveling in Northern India this January, I took a picture of these goats in New Delhi who were dressed for the rather chilly temperatures there. People keep goats right in the city where they forage for food-mainly market scraps and garbage.

Travel: Old Shipwreck (Mahogany Bay, Honduras)This shipwreck is sunken on the opposite side of the pier when big ocean liners dock in Mahogany Bay, (Roatan Isle) Honduras. It is such a beautiful place, but this old rusty ship just seemed to belong there.
Fountain at French Market (New Orleans, LA)This fountain stands at the entrance to the French Market area in New Orleans, LA. Though it is more than 100 years old, it survived Hurricane Katrina and no restoration has had to be done! Amazing!

Travel: Jellyfish at Monterey Bay Aquarium...Here are some Jellyfish from my trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California. I could (and did) look at them for hours. There's something very therapeutic about watching them slowly sway in the water.
Terry Fox Memorial (Thunder Bay, Ontario)Terry Fox attempted to walk across Canada years ago to raise money for cancer research. He had lost one leg to cancer. This monument was erected in his memory.
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center (Glen Rose, TX)This is my favorite place to be! You can be surrounded by beautiful animals who run wild and somewhat free. They are all cared for and protected by this wonderful non-profit organization.

Zombie Child (Zombie Fest, Coos Bay, OR)My little county of Coos here on the Oregon Coast held a Zombie Fest a while back. A large part of the community, people of all ages and walks of life, came as zombies, heros, and there was even a doctor, offering a cure for any who wished to not become a zombie themselves!
Horse Riding Lessons (Pelican Rapids, MN)This is my granddaughter. I'm teaching her how to ride horses. This is her 10th lesson and she is doing great. We also have a paint pony she is teaching it how to neck rein and ride so the neighbor kids can ride with her.
Dress-a-DriftMaybe there isn't enough snow on the ground to build a proper snow man, or you are lacking the energy to do it. You can still create a cheery buddy. Just find an accessible snow drift.

Grounds for Sculpture (Hamilton, NJ)This is an incredible indoor and outdoor art park named Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. They recreate famous paintings and sculptures, some over 60 feet tall! You are invited and encouraged to touch, climb on, and be a part of the artwork, interacting with it.
Turtle Park (California)While visiting California last month, we stopped at Turtle Park. What a fun and magical place for the kids to see turtles lounging along the banks of their multiple ponds at this park!
Dreamy Landscape (Kochi, India)We had gone for the weekend to our vacation home. I was watching the sunset from the back porch overlooking the garden, the forest and the sea in the distance. I thought "I'll take a photograph of it to preserve the memory." However, this was the first time I was using a film camera (grandfather's camera) and wasn't aware of how to use it. Glacier with Waterfall (Alaska)Alaska has many magnificent glaciers. This particular glacier is the Menedenhall Glacier. It is located in the Tongass National Forest. The forest is a temperate rainforest. This means that they get as much rainfall as a tropical rainforest, but the temperature is lower, so they don't get the lush vegetation.
Sunset in Charleston, South CarolinaMy husband and I love Charleston, South Carolina! From our home it's about 3 hours away. It's the one place that you can go to for almost every kind of adventure. Charleston has lakes, beaches, wonderful tours, golfing, history and let's not forget award winning cuisine!
Cades Cove TennesseeFor our 59th wedding anniversary, we went to Townsend, Tennessee and stayed at Townsend Gateway Inn. This motel is vintage style with 2 rocking chairs sitting in front of each room. You pull up and park right there at your room. The room was very clean and quiet. Beside the TV was a little basket of snacks for us to enjoy.
