Shopping for a PhotographerWe have a wedding coming up next summer and in order to cut one big expense, I suggest doing a LOT of shopping around for a photographer. You can find a good photographer at a reasonable price if you take the time to shop around. Some charge thousands of dollars to take pictures of the big day! We found a photographer that is more than reasonable. Charges a low hourly sitting fee, which includes all the proofs. This is also something he does for senior pictures! Shop around and ask your friends, family, and neighbors for referrals! By Robin

Order Your Wedding Cake EarlyAll parents with daughters know just how expensive planning a wedding can be. There seems to be an endless list of expenses. One of the best tips I can share is to order your cake as early as possible. My daughter is getting married in June and we ordered her cake in January. This allowed us to pay the small deposit and then make small payments until the cake was paid for! Much easier than paying the lump sum all at once! By Amy

Homemade Wedding Cake Topper?Dollar Tree stores carry a lot of wedding items in early spring to June. Many times you can find a base with lace on it from Wilton. Cut a ball of styrofoam in half and hot glue onto base. Clip artificial flowers short and arrange on the foam base.Make a small bow and let the end hang longer to sort of drape over the side of the base.Maybe net behind the flowers. This would probably cost $20- $30 if store bought. OR you can use a small pringle or crisco lid and glue lace around the side. You can also find leaves, bells arches etc from Wilton at Dollar Trees. LOVE THOSE STORES! Sharon, Ky
