Keep Mascara WandsIf you find a mascara that really works well for you, save the brush. That's the part that's doing all the work to get the style you want on your lashes, not the actual mascara. All mascaras are the same, just divided by waterproof or regular, so you can dip your favourite wand into any mascara and you will still love your look.
Dry or Clumped Mascara TipHas your tube of mascara dried out prematurely or would you like to extend it? Add a few drops of Visine to the bottle! It's safe for eyes and adds moisture, but doesn't mess with the formula!
Q-Tip and Soap for Mascara Clean UpI keep slivers of soap by the sink. I use a wet Q-Tip and rub it on my sliver of soap to remove spill over mascara. Works like a charm.
Easy Mascara RemovalTo easily remove mascara, even waterproof mascara, wet a washcloth, put on a small amount of lotion to one small area of the cloth, and wipe off the mascara with ease.
Stretch Your Mascara a Little FartherWhen you notice your mascara is starting to run out you can stretch it a little farther. Simply add a few drops of saline solution for eyes to the tube, you will be amazed by how well it works.
Using the Last of Your MascaraI add a couple of drops of saline solution or sterile water into my mascara when it seems empty. This revives it and it lasts much longer. When I need to I repeat again before discarding.
Use Mascara As Liquid EyelinerAnother thing I do is to use left over mascara as liner. If the mascara is too clumpy, running low or just not the right amount that looks good. Take the wand and use it as liquid eye liner.
Warm Mascara With Body HeatI agree that warming the mascara helps. I'm lazy though. I just sit on it first thing when I sit to put my makeup on. It's amazing how much heat your body can generate.
Using MascaraTo create the effect of rounder eyes, first apply one coat as you normally would. Then just coat the upper, outer lashes of your eyes.
Preventing Mascara "Raccoon Eyes"In humid weather, mascara can smear around your eyes and make you look like a raccoon. A final coat of clear mascara will seal in the color and prevent that look.
Warm Mascara Tube Before UsingI don't use mascara often, but when I do, I let the container soak in hot water for a few minutes. It always makes it last longer plus it goes on easier without any of the clumping!
Extending MascaraI found that if I add a tiny amount of oil to a dried container of mascara and then use the lash brush to "mix" the oil with the mascara, I am able to stretch the use of the product!
Make Up TipsWhile putting on your foundation, just place your mascara somewhere next to your body. The mascara will heat up to your body temperature and it will be so much easier to apply.
