Loaded Tossed SaladBesides loving all of the ingredients in this salad, I like it because you can put it together a day ahead, and it will remain fresh and crispy as long as you don't add the dressing until just before serving.
Spaghetti Squash SaladRemove seeds and stringy pieces from center or squash. Discard. Cook each half of squash in microwave for 8 minutes. Will be VERY hot! When cool, use a fork to rake the insides of the squash.
Spring Carrot SaladThis is such a wonderful recipe for Spring!
Broccoli SaladWash broccoli and cut into small pieces. Fry bacon until crisp and crumble into small pieces. Add raisins, sunflower seeds and chopped half of red onion.
Cabbage SaladGrate cabbage. Mix together all other ingredients and pour over the grated cabbage. Refrigerate. Serves 8.
Layered Green SaladPlace a layer of crisp lettuce in small chunks in a large wooden bowl. Spoon over the mayonnaise and spread thinly. Add a layer of sliced onions. Sprinkle onions lightly with sugar.
Golden Summer SaladThis combines 5 golden fruits and vegetables and is great for BBQs and any summer party.
Carrot SaladMix gelatin and boiling water; add marshmallows and stir until both are dissolved. Allow to cool. Add pineapple and carrots. When mixture begins to set, add Dream Whip or whipped cream and mayonnaise. Let set and cut in squares.
Tomato SaladCombine dry ingredients. Add vinegar and oil. Blend. Add minced parsley and green onions, sliced. Pour over quartered tomatoes which have been arranged over a bed of endive.
Mixed Vegetable SaladMix together first 4 ingredients and add dressing. For dressing, cook until thick and mix with salad. Chill thoroughly. This will keep for several days.
Orange Spinach Onion SaladWash the spinach and tear into bite size pieces. Slice the oranges into 1/4 inch slices and slice the onion into thin onion rings. For each serving arrange spinach on plate.
Mushroom SaladSlice mushrooms, cored green pepper and onion into thin slices. Combine vinegar, sugar and oil and add to veggies. Chill. Let marinate at least 3 hours.
Cooked Carrot SaladPeel carrots, slice and cook 10-15 minutes; drain. Mix dressing ingredients well and pour over sliced veggies. Let stand several hours. Keeps well.
Cucumber SlawPare and thinly slice cucumber. Combine cream and seasoning. Mix thoroughly. Add to cucumbers. Let stand several hours in covered dish in refrigerator before serving.
Crispy Pea SaladCombine peas, celery, onions, nuts, bacon, and sour cream. Add 1/4 cup of dressing.
Cucumber SaladSlice cucumbers and onion. Mix other ingredients. Pour over cucumbers and onion. Chill 2-3 hours before serving.
Layered SaladLayer vegetables, eggs, bacon in order given in large flat plastic pan with lid.
Mix salad ingredients and spread over salad.
Avocado Tomato SaladI love the lemon kick of this simple salad! The easiest way to prepare the avocados is to cut in half lengthwise, remove the pit with a knife, scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon. and slice.
Garden SaladBreak cauliflower into roses. Cut cheese into squares. Break broccoli into small pieces. Dice celery, slice olives, and radishes, and chop onions.
Caribbean Cucumber SaladEven if you're not an onion fancier, you'll want to use the entire onion for the flavor blending. You can simply be a picky eater by setting them aside on your plate or share with your onion loving family and friends.
Vegetable SaladMix all the veggies together. The mix the dressing ingredients and pour over the vegetables.
Chinese Vegetable SaladFor salad, drain the beans, corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, pimentos, and mushrooms. Then combine all ingredients.
Overnight Lettuce SaladPlace in large bowl in order given. Miracle Whip should completely cover previous layer. Cover tightly; store overnight in refrigerator; toss and serve.
Balsamic Dressed TomatoesThis is a very simple salad but so delicious. It is perfect for late summer and early fall, when tomatoes are still in season. I have sometimes layered thinly sliced cucumbers as well.
Greek Salad with GreensWhisk vinegar, olive oil and garlic together in a serving bowl. Add the remaining ingredients, gently toss, and serve.
