Garden of Smiles - Painted RockWalking through a garden taking photos, I came upon this rock garden and this smiling rock caught my eye. Definitely made my day. Must be nice to be a rock!
Scenes from My HomeThis is my potting shed that is mostly made from re-purposed items along with my arbor and my wooden gazebo with the homemade bird house on top. I really enjoy creating me spaces and using and re-purposing old items. This is not all of my very busy cluttered yard, just a few of my spaces.
The Little Frog KingA worthless trinket, thrown out with the dead remains of an uncared for dish garden? To the adult who has lost their ability to imagine, probably yes.
Upcycled ScarecrowWe had lots of fun creating our recycled scarecrow from old pitchers to old handtools.
Garden Scene WoodcarvingThis is a relief woodcarving I made of a garden in China. The doorways are in the shape of the moon for esthetic value and are designed to bring about a peaceful feeling. They are so lovely, I think. I included my bonsai plant as well.
Flowerpot Gardener Taking a RestThis scenario takes place outside my patio door. When the screen door is in use, we can hear the soothing water falling from the watering can.
Recycle GardenOur 2014 garden is completely organic with a great crop (snap peas, Brussels sprouts, green beans, tomatoes, broccoli, green peppers, pumpkins, and more!) which will come in handy due to an "early unexpected" retirement for both of us!
Pot People (The Path Garden)This is a work in progress for the Path Garden. We started the project and had to stop due to rain. We made a few mistakes along the way, but we're having fun in the meantime.
Children's Garden Gifts (The Path Garden)Looks like someone has been busy decorating in the "Path Garden" again. Hubby found these last Saturday. He hung two of the bird houses in trees, put the smallest on a pole back in the garden, and placed the shells back where they were left.
Remnant of Summer Garden DecorationMy wife, Sue, loves her garden. This warms the cockles of her heart.
Garden: Lion FountainI don't have a garden so I am very jealous of my friend who has a gorgeous garden with this lovely lion fountain in it. Doesn't it look inviting?
Garden: Orange RibbonsI wanted to give our garden a look that corresponds with the season. I took some orange ribbon and tied it on the branches of my marigold plants. The stems are just able to hold the ribbons.
Two More Garden GiftsThis windchime was left at the gate. Very cute. We restrung the danglers and made them shorter. So people signing the Path Garden guest book wouldn't get them tangled up in their hair.
New Path Garden AngelHere is the newest angel left in The Path Garden. Once again someone has left a surprise in the garden. Always a treat to find treasures to delight visitors as they stroll through the garden.
Painting Left For The "Secret" Path GardenI heard voices in the garden and opened the gate to find a little girl signing my guest book. She had brought the painting to the garden with her dad. She had set it on the ground near a big rock.
Courtyard FountainI have wanted a "water feature" for our courtyard ever since we bought this house, seven years ago. For our anniversary this month, my husband did all this! Isn't that romantic?
Garden: "Hope" And FlowerThis is a favorite picture of mine from my garden. Hope. Just like the picture, my favorite.
Garden Stepping StonesHomemade cement, rock, and I added my own design!
Use Old Gazebo in GardenWe had our old gazebo and wondered what to do with it since we were getting a new one. We didn't want to add to the landfill. So here is what we did with it.
Funny Kittens Garage Sale FindWhen I saw the funny cats that DH found at a yard sale they made me laugh. Now I want to show you the backs of that little treasure.
Gifts For The Path GardenSome one has left garden art at the Path garden and at our gate. One day we had this angel at the gate, and another that was left with a broken head that had been fixed and a leg in pieces left on a tree stump.
Wizard of Oz DecorationsMy husband and I thought we would make gardening more fun by having a Wizard of Oz theme. Our favorite is the tin man, made with various "junk" from around the house like an old teakettle, trash can and funnel. This year we are planning an Alice in Wonderland Theme.
Garden: Red Watering CanAt a recent auction, we spotted this red watering can. At once, we realized it would be useful and also very nice to look at in the flower garden. We were fortunate as it sold very reasonably. It has already brought much enjoyment and motivation to work in the flower beds.
Support for the Garden PathBecause our yard is 2 steps down from "The Path Garden" and we had to pile dirt (sand bags) up to keep the rain from flooding the back yard. So we just built the planting area like a raised bed.
Garden Arbor for GrapesMy Husband built this garden arbor. It has benches built on both sides.
We grow grape vines on it in the summer.
