Back Panel of Gas Dryer?I have a new Maytag gas dryer, but it is deeper than my previous dryer. I have removed the back panel to allow extra space for the vent pipe, and so I can close an adjoining door. Is it safe to leave this back panel off? It is not structural.
Installing a Dryer Vent?I just had washer/gas dryer hookups installed in my condo. Now I have to get a dryer duct vented to the outside installed. Can the dryer duct go straight down which is the easiest and closest? It would vent into the carport. I live on the second floor of 3 floors. The 1st floor is the the open carport.

Wiring Dishwasher with 3-Prong Plug?Is it okay to wire a dishwasher with a 3 prong plug (GFCI)? I'm having trouble direct wiring it due to previous owners wiring. I have a 3 wire coming from the box (2 red, 1 white). It is connected to a 3 wire that goes to an outlet box which is located under the cabinet, by the dishwasher. I think that is the way they had the old dishwasher but I'm not 100% sure.
Maytag Washing Machine Doesn't Spin Out All The Water On Delicate?My 10 year old Maytag washing machine doesn't spin all the water out when I use the delicate setting (we use this most often). I've been re-setting the dial to a different selection to remove the water. Considering its age, is this repair worth doing? Any idea about the cost?
