Construction Site ScrapsLook in the dumpsters at construction sites (with contractor's permission of course) for scrap wood/moulding for small projects. It's amazing what is thrown out these days.

Building With Recycled WindowsGlass windows cannot be recycled commercially. They get destroyed. Stores replace their l l/2 thick double windows. I found 5 of them and used them to fill in my back porch. They were 300 to 400 lbs. Two men had a hard time lifting them.
Uses For An Old WaterbedIf you have the old super-single size waterbed with the cubby hole type headboard you can turn it on its side and you have a small bookcase for your kids' books.
