Pressure CanningTomato Sauce was put in dishwasher to keep hot before putting in Presto Precise Digital Canner for pressure canning. The jars all sealed when I got them out of the dishwasher. Dishwasher set on Pro Wash, no soap, and Hi Temp Rinse. Is it safe and if not, how do I reprocess in the Precise Presto.

Can I Reprocess Canned Tomato Sauce?I have experience with jellies. This is my first time canning tomatoes. I made sauce with fresh grown ripe plum tomatoes, a little oil, onion, and herbs, plus a dash of Parmesan cheese. I simmered the sauce for 1 hour. I hot-packed 12 sterilized pint jars and did a 185 degree water bath for 15 min. They sealed well. I did this one week ago.

Canning Homemade Crab Soup?I want to can/jar my home made Maryland crab soup. It contains crushed tomatoes, cooked vegetables, and crab meat. Everything was cooked together and brought to a safe temperature. I practiced two ways. Just jarring it strait out of the pots into jars. I put lids on and that seemed fine. But someone told me I had to pressure cook even though everything was already cooked.

Under Processed Canned Spaghetti Sauce?I canned homemade spaghetti sauce in a hot water bath. I was to have them boil for 50 minutes, but I mistakenly boiled for 30 minutes. They are cooling now and I will check in the morning to see if the seals "popped" and I don't feel a "bubble" on the lid. If they sealed, are they OK? I'm afraid of botulism, but doesn't the lemon juice that I added help prevent botulism?

Canning Beef in the Oven?I canned beef several years ago in the oven in pint jars. I can't remember the degrees or time. The lady I got the recipe from died and I lost it. I can't remember if it was 250 degrees for 3 hours or what. I know she told me to keep the jars in the oven overnight and they would seal. She said not to open the oven till morning.

I Under Processed Canned Green Beans?I pressure canned green beans when the pressure built up I timed from that point on, but didn't wait till it began to jiggle. All the jars sealed, but what should I do? Remove lids and reprocess?

Making Sweet Stickles?I was making stickles (pickles). After I'd followed the recipe to the 3rd day, I boiled the stickles for 30 minutes. It said to pack them in hot jars, seal, and put in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. It did not say to put any liquid over the stickles.

Uses for Extra Syrup from Preserving Pears?I canned fresh pears in a sugar and water syrup. My recipe said to boil the water sugar syrup, add cored, peeled, and quartered pears to the syrup and boil for 5 minutes longer, then load into jars and fill with syrup. So far so good.
