Is the Taste of Evaporated Milk Noticeable When Used in Cooking?
I don't like the taste of evaporated milk either. YUK! I can taste it! When a recipe calls for evaporated milk, I use half-and-half or even heavy cream and the recipe turns out great. The end result is more fattening, though, so if you're looking to cut calories...
