HI - am a newbie for couponing and rebates.  Have only been at it 3 months (started with Rite Aid rebate program.) LOL, I was hooked by the end the first week...and have done really well.

This has been a God's send for me. Formerly the CEO of a small corporation for 15 years, I became disabled 5 years ago and will never be able to enter the work force again.  At the same time this happend  DH lost his job of 17 years due to downsizing....so we have had some humble moments for the past 5 years after losing everything we had to include our home.

I view this as an opportunity to be frugal and enjoy it at the same time.  Two nights ago at Rite Aid I purchased $23 worth of items and rung out at 71 cents plus sales tax. (Not to mention the $5 rebate in the mix that will come next month.)

I am  consistently running around 40% savings on weekly groceries and started right out stockpiling 10 for 10 deals.  I FINALLY feel almost like I am "working" and can help DH out by contributing to our household income doing this.  The flexibility allows me to research deals on the net for an hour - lay down for an hour - etc, so it has been emotionally rewarding as well as financially.

I look forward to discussing things in the forums and getting to know you.  My interests are spectator sports, old movies, reading, designing clothing, and sewing when I can tolerate it.  payhoun
