Nature Foretelling the Season?This may sound foolish to some but, I have heard that you can use nature to foretell seasons. Like, pine cones growing high in the trees means a harsh winter. I was wondering if maples can tell us something too. We live in a rural area, with lots of pine birch and maples.
Wrapping Your Hot Water Heater?I have heard that if you wrap your hot water heater and pipes leading from it with a blanket it will help save you money. Has anyone tried this? What do you use to wrap the tank and/or pipes?? Thanks.
Smell From Mink Farm on Hands?A family member, who lives with us, recently started working at a mink farm. He handles the mink for vaccinations. Unfortunately, they urinate when they are being handled. Now, even though he wears thick leather gloves, it soaks through, and leaves the most awful smell on him!
I Have The Worst Luck Washing Walls!I read a few of the tips on washing walls but still had a question or two. Can I use a mixture of water with either bleach or sunlight dish soap? How much should I use? I have the worst luck washing walls! My mother used to use Tide. Her walls were fine, but I am thinking I used too much Tide?
Stuck Together Tortillas?I have bought tortilla wraps and they are stuck in the middle. There is no way to get them apart with out ripping them!
