Great advice! One thing I found not on the list however is a phone that is not a cordless, or one that has a battery backup. If the phone is electric it will not work when the power goes out.

Cool, My husband hand carves spoons.. so one day I had him make a giant crochet hook for me. I wanted to make rag rugs out of old T-Shirts ( cut into strips) . This is great for outdoor use as it seems to be more weather proof :) Great idea!
