Growing Figs in the Puget Sound Area?Can anyone suggest the best variety of fig for this area? I am actually out on the peninsula in Bremerton west of Tacoma. I grew up in the south and love fresh figs. I have tried the larger fruited green figs and they are an OK choice.
Pruning a Hardy Fuchsia?Can I prune a hardy fuchsia now? If so how close to the ground can I go? I have pruned it in the spring in the past after it begins to leaf out and used that as my guide for how much stem to remove. But this year I would like to take it further back. Thanks in advance.

Making Penny Rugs?I am thinking of trying my hand at making vintage style penny rugs. I went shopping for wool felt and had difficulty finding any that was 100% wool. There were bolts that were a wool and rayon blend.
