I received this recipe from my niece, and it has been a favorite with family and friends. When I serve it for guests, they usually ask for the recipe. I like it because it's easy, healthy, and tasty.
Ingredients:
- 2 - 3 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup sugar (I usually use less)
- 3/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup vegetable oil (I use canola or olive oil)
Directions:
Combine and process the cloves of garlic, fresh basil leaves, salt, pepper, cider vinegar, and sugar in a food processor. Slowly add the vegetable oil and process until smooth. Keeps well in the refrigerator.
