Rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) is very inexpensive to use. In our market you get two 16 ounce bottles for $.99. I use rubbing alcohol to clean up in the kitchen. It makes stainless steel shine and gives it a nice fresh smell. It is good for quick cleanup and works well when added to soap and water to clean floors.
To keep fleas at bay, you can spray your pet and the bedding and carpets with Wintergreen scented rubbing alcohol. It's an easy, inexpensive solution for an occasional flea.
Instead of spending money on high priced cleaners, to clean stainless steel appliances. Use plan old alcohol.
I have two small dogs. I have been cleaning urine spots on my carpet with a solution of 1 part rubbing alcohol and 2 parts water. It works so well. My dogs are always sniffing the floor. Will this have an effect on them if they inhale it all the time?

I don't know either, but would love to know what kind of a dog this is, also. Mine looks just like it in the head area. She is part Skye Terrier, but I don't know what the other part is and I'd love to know.
The alcohol can't be good for the dogs. I always use a solution of vinegar & water. It cleans well and gets rid of the smell completely.
Anytime you use a chemical around your animals it is a good idea to check with a vet. Alcohol has a very fast evaporation rate. From that standpoint I would think it ok to use. I have used white vinegar with cleaning many things around the house. It is a good odor remover (loses 'vinegar' smell quickly) and a mild acid.
I use rubbing alcohol for all kinds of cleaning jobs, full strength or diluted (I prefer full strength.) For most cleaning jobs I keep it in a trigger spray bottle. I use it for cleaning glass and mirrors - it evaporates too NO STREAKS! ...

It should be ready by the time you are done reading this. (as long as you didn't pour a whole bottle in or anything) Alcohol evaporates QUICKLY.
You can use the dryer as soon as the alcohol dries and the smell goes away. Usually that is in a minute or 2. At that point it isn't flammable.
