I purchased this piece at a thrift store but have been unable to find any Armani pieces with the same mark as on mine. Other pieces that look like mine have the crown in their mark. Does anyone know anything about this mark?
The Neapolitan "N" and crown pottery mark were never trademark protected. There have been many variations with different fonts of the "N" and different styles of the crown or coronet. Technically any porcelain maker could use this mark and claim to be Capodimonte porcelain. And many have.
I found a mark similar to yours. It seems to me that your doves have the same initials G.A. on the back of the tail. As I understood, the owner of that figurine also cannot identify his figurine.
I think you have Giuseppe Armani figurine, just the mark has just been changed a little. For example, look at the mark of this G. Armani Florence Love Doves Lovebirds Small Figurine Statue www.ebay.com/
There are many pieces listed for sale online that claim to be Giuseppe Armani pieces but the GA Society estimates that over 50-60% (and maybe even more) are not true GA pieces. The GA marks were never legally protected so basically anyone can use the marks but it is illegal to copy original GA pieces and put their marks on the pieces.
Most sellers probably believe the items they're selling are GA pieces and know very little about 'knock-offs'.
I believe that is the case with your doves as there does not appear to be any official mark that resembles yours.
You have to look at every piece of the mark to be able to know the differences.
The GA official does not show a mark anywhere close to your mark that has any resemblance to a 'crown'.
I was provided with this site that sometimes will respond about GA marks. You might try contacting them to see what they can tell you.

The fact is that not this Neapolitan "N" with crown mark, but Armani's initials is proof of his authorship. The "N" crown mark is that of any maker who wishes to be associated with the mark of Capodimonte. And as I already wrote, because there is no trade mark restriction for this "N" crown mark, so quality of make varies.
I am curious what the site says. I have been so obsessed with trying to find the mark, that I neglected to get on my good screen and really look at the figure itself. Had I done that first, I would have had what I feel now to be true--that it is an homage piece to the brand and not an original.
Why? The paint on the figure does not (to me) have the G.A. quality. Works by this brand are crisp in their paint lines and the colors are not muddied. The eyes on your figure look off, and the berries and leaves the birds are sitting on do not look professionally made (again (to me).
Just my opinion, but I feel this is an homage piece to the brand and not an original.
You can sell a piece like this without using any brand and let the buyer buy it for the content, maybe. This is a fine line if it is an homage piece--like homage purses, if you have one of those and the company finds out, they make you destroy it. I will have to ask my business lawyer if the rules are the same in a case like this, if it is truly not an GA original.
Anyhow...post back with what you learn! Thanks for sharing!
I think my Giuseppe Armani figure is a copy, it should be white.
Here is the complete database for all Giuseppe Armani figurines and I do not see your number listed in this database. Please refer to the database and see if it is listed under another number or not. giuseppearmani.org/
Appreciate if you can give me a price for this collections. Thank you.
Hi, I have a gorgeous figurine which I believe to be G Armani but have been unable to identify her searching through lots of pictures on internet. Could anyone kindly advise me of her age and name?
She is lovely but I believe you'll have to find a way to verify that she is an authentic G. Armani as I have never seen his signature in this fashion and never with a c for copyright. Not that I can say this for sure but it is questionable.
There are several sites that you can search for your figurine but I'm not sure you will find her.

If she has a number on the bottom you may be able to find her in this group.

Even if she is a genuine G. Armani you may have to ask for an appraisal as similar sold figurines do not work in a field like this.
Most of these figurines that sell are only bringing small figures compared to what they originally cost.
Most are selling for under $200.
I have a Giuseppe Armani sculpture but I'm not really sure what it's called and where to sell it or how much it could go for. I've seen statues that look just like it but they don't have the writing on the back or the little seal.
Can anyone answer my questions on this? This particular statue can be found on several sites, with asking prices ranging from $30 to $170. I found several with the signature (like yours) but no one seems to put very much value in the difference. One problem is that sellers do not always show the same pictures and many do not show all of the markings.
Sellers also do not always know the composition of an item and very few know the actual name (if it has one) or the model number.
That is one of the reasons it is wise to do a lot of research before listing an item so you can gather all of the information from other seller's listings. Of course, you have to be careful as their information may not always be correct.
Armani usually made items in more than one composition and this was made in two that I have found. Your statue was made in 1988 and is made of Bisque; I believe the correct name is: Mother with Flowers and some are saying it is named Maternity with Flowers but not sure about that.
The model number is 0514F
Here are some of the listings like yours: These may not be always available as the item may sell or the seller just removes it from the site. You will notice that some are calling this statue; Mother and Child - Mother and Baby -
The reason I'm listing several links is because this statue is shown under so many different names it is very difficult to just do a regular search and find good examples.

eBay shows 4 of this statue has sold over the past several months:
Sold prices - these usually represent current value.
1) Best offer - less than $19.77 + shipping
2) Best offer - less than $26.99 + shipping
3) $30 + shipping
4) $59 with free shipping (maybe $45)

It seems this would indicate the value would be somewhere between $20 to $45.
We have no way to know how long any of these statues were listed for sale before they sold even at these low prices - maybe months or longer.
