My kitten is roughly 3-4 months, maybe a little older. She is either coughing or sneezing, I'm not too sure. She gets eye boogers and then her nose is doing something funky (shown in pic below). Her appetite is really good and she drinks bunches of water and uses the potty regularly. Please help me with what I can do for this over the counter or on my own. We just got her and I wasn't aware of this until after we got her home. So wasn't money prepared for this.

I would at least call the vet. Maybe you can work out a payment plan. A pet is part of your family now. When you take a pet into your home you take the responsibility for taking care of it.
When you adopt a pet, you also adopt the responsibility for medical care. Please find a way to take your kitty to a vet now as it appears she has an infection that will only become worse and require much more expensive medical care.
It would be best if you could take your kitten to the vet because it is difficult to tell just how sick she really is or what is the underlying cause.
I believe the best signs are that she is eating and drinking and using the bathroom without problem so it really appears she is on the mend.

You really wont know what is causing your cats respiratory illness until you see a Vet. Most likely it is an infection that will require antibiotics. These infections can proceed to something much more serious very quickly if not treated. If you cannot afford a Vet, you can surrender her to the local Humane society and she will be treated. But dont wait. Give her a chance.
Sounds like poor kitty needs a vet. I would contact a local vet and find out if any vet in the area offers pro bono vet care. Also call the shelter, which you should do anyway to alert them because chances are they have one cat infecting everybody els and they should be aware of that, for the sake of the other
Like the lady said money wasnt planned. I fostered a cat that has cost ME not the foster agency over 2000$. The agency has never called me back or done what they said they would do to help me or more importanly the cat.
Maybe I have the wrong impression about your response. If this is the case I apologize. You might want to consider reasons why this person is in this situation rather than assuming they could not afford to pay for pet care when they adopted their cat. Unforeseen things can happen in life such as a medical illness, loss of a job, or sudden death of a spouse. When something like this happens your whole world can be turned upside down. May I suggest, before judging other people's intentions or faulting them for being in a hard situation try to think of reasons they might be in that situation other than not wanting to take responsibility for their pets or any other thing they are struggling with at that moment.

My kitten was born in insulation and didn't come out until she started walking. Now she has a runny eye, which is clear, and she sneezes like crazy, but not all the time.
There is discharge that comes from her nose when she sneezes. Should I see vet! Otherwise she is a happy cat, eating, drinking, and playing.Oh please do take the kitten to the vet. If you haven't already taken her for a check-up she should be looked over right away, I am sure she needs shots and a though examination.
If your kitten was not vaccinated it may be feline viral rhinopneumonitis (FVR). See your Vet right away for this and other vaccinations.
G'day Jackgilroy42, I have just recently had the same problem with one of my very special (to me) rescue felines. She was blowing bubbles from her nose, eyes running, sneezing and generally really miserable and hot. The Vet said she has"Cat Flu" which is what another person said.
I have a cat who sneezes and when he does he has boogers that come out. What can I do for him?

Is this a new thing, or has your cat been doing it for a while? Either way, I'd suggest you take him in to the vet. I've had cats for maybe 25 years, and I've never had one sneeze boogers.
Additionally, someone in one of the archived posts below said she had good results when she changed her cat's food. That sounds like a reasonable thing to try, too. Just do it gradually, so you don't give him an upset tummy. Best of luck. I hope your kitty's sneezing and boogers are all cleared up soon!
I'm not sure about cats, but I have a dog who had a similar thing and the vet said that things shouldn't come out of their noses or get "the sniffles" like humans do. I would take your cat to the vet as soon as you can to see what the cause is.
