I bought this iris last fall, 2018, but lost the name. I've tried looking all over the internet and pinterest to find it, but have been unsuccessful. It is a standard dwarf iris in a true turquoise blue with white markings on the falls and a light yellow beard.
This is a picture I took for Easter last year.
This is the first bloom of my irises. For two years all I have gotten were leaves! Irises multiply rapidly, so it is imperative that they be thinned out every year or two.
Congratulations on this first issue of the gardening newsletter Susan. I hope it will be as successful as your others. (I'm sure it will). Here is a picture of some flowers in my gardens.
Iris are so beautiful. I never thought I would see an ugly one. I visited an iris farm where thousands of different iris were growing.
We had been in the castle garden at Lismore in Ireland that beautiful day, and the iris were in wonderfully beautiful bloom. There were many, many blooms in that part of the garden. The color was outstanding. What a peaceful place it was.
It's six in the evening. I saw an opportunity to get what I thought would be a good shot of this iris, and I took it. Turned out pretty well. The colors are gorgeous but I particularly like the angle of the shot.
I was surprised to find white iris in my garden I was sure I only had purple ones. Do they change their color?
The iris is such a pretty flower, for most of my life I thought there was no such thing as an ugly iris. One day while visiting an iris farm, I saw such an iris.
