  • 8 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk, opt.

Directions:

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl and mix well. Stir in vegetable oil. Add buttermilk and stir just until blended. Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough into a 15x8 inch rectangle. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Grease a 9 inch round baking pan lightly. Spread butter over dough. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Mix well. Sprinkle over butter. Roll up jelly roll fashion, starting from one long side. Pinch seam to seal. Cut roll into 1 1/2 inch slices. Arrange slices cut side up in prepared baking pan. Bake until lightly browned, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven. Pour milk over the top, if desired. Serve hot.

I want to make homemade cinnamon raisin biscuits with the icing over them just like Hardee's restaurants have. Does anyone have or know how to make them the same way from scratch? Thanks

I sent in a recipe that should be in next week's recipes. It uses a bread maker. Do you have one? You can make them without too but is so much easier with a bread maker.

I think they really taste a lot like Hardees. I didn't post the icing recipe but will if you need it.
