I hate peeling oranges, the white stuff always gets stuck under my nails and then I end up smelling like oranges all day! So I recycle my bread bags or plastic zipper bags by sticking my hand in them and then peeling my oranges. Works like a dream!

When using oranges to make a fancy dessert or salad, remove the white membrane on them by soaking the oranges in boiling water for 5 minutes before you peel them.
Place oranges in hot water for about 45 minutes - 1hour; remove from water and let cool until you are comfortable handling them by hand.
Here's an easy way to remove the skin of an orange prior to using the orange in sections for a recipe. Bring about 6 cups of water to boil in a small pan. Ever so slowly, with an orange in a large soup ladle, lower it into the pan.
