You can use the Tomcat flat glue boards to capture spiders and other insects in the home. I place them under beds and around base boards. You will be surprised what you trap.

I have a problem. I have had a new home built. I noticed spiders inside the home (bunches). I asked the contractor what to do? He told us to put moth balls inside the crawl space under the house and it will make the spiders and mice stay away.

I go back and forth with spiders. Upstairs visitors get taken outside (I put a plastic cup over and slide paper under then out away from the house.). I worry about the dog playing with them and getting bit.
Basement ones I usually leave be. They are good at eating bad pests. That said pgh has few highly dangerous spiders. If I lived somewhere else, I may react differently.

I'm abnormally scared of finding an adult of these baby spiders that keep crawling round my bathroom. This screams 'massive mummy spider somewhere' as there are at least 10 a day that I'm flushing and they're all identical.

Having moved a lot of garden rubbish to the tip in my car on the weekend, I now have spiders in the car. One is particularly huge but I am unable to catch it as it is a first class runner. My daughter refuses to get into the car until I can assure her it is gone or dead. Any ideas?

Spiders smell with their feet. They hate Peppermint so if you put a fine patina and peppermint oil in the car, they will run. You don't have to put it on everything...but the carpeting under the seats are probably where they are going to try and hide.
A neighbor recently had her willow tree pruned. This seemed to disturb spiders who have infiltrated my house. I have 2 cats, so am wondering what natural non-toxic things I can use to get rid of them.

As far as I know there is nothing that will keep spiders out. Sweep down their webs and squish the spiders. That's all that can be done, I think.
How do I get rid of spiders? Usually we have had them in the basement only, but we have been finding them all through the house. My daughter is scared of them and I would like to know how to prevent them from traveling everywhere.

There is not much you can do about spiders, and since they usually trap flies and other insects in their webs, they are doing good things for you. I use a broom to get rid of their webs and squish them if they are someplace I don't want them, like my kitchen.
Which would you rather have - spiders or all the other bugs spiders eat? I love to see spiders hard at work. My adult daughter also learned to love them.
