I came up with this recipe when I saw a photo of a gorgeous pie in a magazine. I had no idea what it was made of, but the vision gave me inspiration to come up with something. To make things simple, the pastry part of this is made of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough. The apples and walnuts give it a wonderful texture. I skipped the prepackaged icing that came with the cinnamon rolls and made my own cream cheese version. Give it a try fresh out the oven with a cup of coffee!

Wee little apple pies made out of crescent rolls, an apple slice each, and cinnamon and sugar.
Super simple and kid-friendly. My mom used to make these when I was growing up. Great side-dish!
Heat 2 tablespoons bacon grease and 2 tablespoons butter in skillet. Drop in sliced green apples; add about 1 cup sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
