Porcelain Clawfoot TubThere is chipped enamel around the drain in my tub. I have tried to cover it with enamel paint meant for that from the hardware store, but it's expensive and wears off.

This time I tried the white caulking that hubby had used around the tub, around the drain area (after we had come home from a weekend away, so the area was dry). It took a while to dry and cure (leave it a day or so), but it covered it up very nicely. And only cost pennies of extra caulk.

We put in a new porcelain tub and dropped something on it today (warranty over) and it chipped about 1 1/2 inches long and 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide. How do we fix to make it look good for a long time?
