Just purchased a beautiful aqua suede jacket 2nd hand. Only problem... ball point pen ink at the collar. Tried the alcohol and it removed the ink like magic! Left a little "ring" after drying with dryer so I roughed it up a little with an emory board... one area was not dyed quite as deeply leaving a tiny white speck so I found one of my daughter's aqua markers and barely touched the area and presto! it's perfect! Best $8.25 I'll ever spend for a designer jacket that someone thought couldn't be "fixed"!
What is meant by rubbing alcohol. Is that a special type of alcohol?
I have a spec of ballpoint pen on a New pait of sheepskin slippers.
Rubbing alcohol is a common term for isopropyl alcohol. It comes in a white bottle near the hydrogen peroxide at a grocery or drug store.

I have an unlined "dry clean only" suede jacket with ball point ink lines on it (drawn by a toddler). Professional cleaners in my area don't believe they could get it out.
