I like low sugar recipes, and I always post my successes. This has an optional cinnamon sugar topping, which will post but did not use to save calories.
Muffins can be made with a variety of fruit ingredients but apple may be the very best. Make these best ever apple muffins next time you want to bake some muffins.
Combine milk and egg in small bowl. Stir in oil. Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Add apples and raisins, tossing to coat.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add all remaining ingredients.
Sift dry ingredients together. Make a well in center and add remaining ingredients. Stir only enough to mix. Spoon into muffin pan cups that have been lightly greased on the bottoms only.
