Homemade Herb and Spice BlendsAccent Seasoning can be made without the MSG, which many believe to be harmful. This is a Cajun version, but you could adjust the heat for your own liking.

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a blender except the salt, do not breath in the dust. Add the salt last and blend until it is a uniform color.

Some people are sensitive to MSG and may have a reaction to it. If you are concerned, search the internet for monosodium glutamate and you will get the latest information.

Does anyone have all the ingredients for McCormick's "It's A Dilly" spice mix. They have stopped making it.

IT'S A DILLY, SALT FREE 1.9 oz
INGREDIENTS: ONION, GARLIC, DILL WEED, LEMON PEEL, DILL SEED, AND JALAPENO PEPPER.

Dilly Seasoning Mix
...Dill is the dominant flavor in this delicious and versatile seasoning mix. It can be used as a salad dressing, a vegetable dip, in pasta salads, or sprinkled on chicken or seafood.
1/2 cup dried dill weed (not seeds)
1/2 cup dried minced onion (not powder)
1/3 cup dried parsley
1/4 cup dried basil
1/4 cup dried tarragon
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried lemon peel

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and blend well

Mccormick also makes a jalapeno pepper powder now if you really want to try to duplicate :)

Step 1
Yes, but it's a different recipe than The McCormick's version. Engage says it made the original. I wrote to Mc Cormick's asking for the ingredients; maybe I'll get an answer.

We used to use their version all the time and so far, I've seen a few different recipes that contain more or less.
