How do you clean calcium deposits on glass shower doors?

The quickest way would be to try C.L.R. (Calcium. Lime. Rust.) It's meant for those hardest to get deposits and a better concentration and option than most other bathroom cleaners touting results for such deposits... in my experience.
There was some tar-like spray on my glass patio doors, after the builders departed. I managed to remove the tar spray, but there are multiple residue stains left behind on the glass. How to I get rid of them? I hoped that they would fade, but this is not the case.

Try Goo Gone. If it's a sticky substance, it works well.
