I used a cornstarch recipe from this site last spring and have been trying to get the film off the windows ever since. I don't want to have to replace all our windows, but they are far worse than before and nothing will take it off.

Any suggestions?

I would try vinegar or a Magic Eraser.

Try a little lemon juice in water. Use a white rag to gently rub out the spots. Hope this clean it up for you.

There should not be any residue left at all. Some ppl have confused spray starch with cornstarch. Did u just use ONLY 2 tblsps per 2 cups of water along with the vinegar ?

Put all the ingredients into a clean spray bottle and shake to mix. Use as you would a commercial glass cleaner. Spray on glass and wipe dry with a clean cloth or newspaper.

I am looking for a recipe for window cleaner. It was made with cornstarch and alcohol, and I am not sure what else. It really worked.

Best window cleaner ever. Take 1/2 cup of cornstarch and mix with a gallon of water. Mix very good, then you can either pour some in spray bottle or you can pour some in a container.
