This is a very frugal meal, using up what you have in the freezer; ground turkey, frozen veggies, and the other things you happen to have in the cupboard. Great meal on a dark, dreary, cold and rainy day. Enjoy!
Total Time: 30 minutes prep Time 2 hours simmer time
Yield: Many, this makes about a 6 quart pot full
Ingredients:
*Seasonings: Start with an 1/8 tsp. each first: seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, basil, thyme, rosemary, adobe seasoning, Italian seasoning and sage. I thought sage would be tasty because I was using turkey. Also add 2 tsp. of sugar, as this enhances all your flavors. When you let this simmer, do a taste test, and then you can adjust the seasonings to your taste.
Steps:
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray (or make into patties and grill).
This is a pretty simple meal to make and is very flavorful. I like to pair this meal with rice. If you don't like ground turkey, you can stuff with ground beef, chicken or pork.
This is a very quick meal to make, perfect if you work during the day. I omitted the cheese and added asparagus, so I made this a one-pan meal. Feel free to add other vegetables and spices to your liking.
Healthy filling soup you can whip up all in one pot. Perfect to serve as a first course or for lunch or dinner.

I bought some Jennie-O frozen turkey patties but unfortunately we don't care for the taste of using them as burgers. Is there anything else I could make with them, by grinding them up in casseroles or something of the sort? Thanks!
I made up this super easy turkey chili- cook the turkey, then add a can of Petite diced tomatoes and jalapenos (with the juice), a can each of black beans and dark red kidney beans (washed and drained), and a packet of chili seasoning. If you want to get fancy, you can add a diced onion and some fresh jalapenos and monterey jack cheese.
You could break them up and mix them with hamburger to make meatloaf. I bought some veggie burgers once that my family didn't like and I used them in place of the chicken in chicken parmesan. I cooked them in the oven until brown, then covered with spagetti sauce, and put mozzerella on top. Baked until hot and the cheese was melted.
I have never used Jennie-O Frozen Turkey Patties but I have once purchased Jennie-O-Frozen Boneless Turkey Breast. It was absolutely disgusting & had a real vile taste. Never again will I buy anything put out by Jennie-O.
Fry ground turkey and onion together in a very small amount of oil. Add water, salt, pepper and chili powder. Simmer together. Food process or blend the pinto beans.
