Repairing Water Damage on an Engineered Hardwood Floor?

October 1, 2008

How do you get rid of white blotches on an engineered wood floor? I think it maybe from moisture. It is a Mannington engineered floor.

I've seen that an equal combination of vinegar and olive oil rubbed on with a clean cloth would remove white spots on furniture so that might work. I'd suggest being very careful to not leave the floor oily so people won't slip and fall.

My HVAC leaked water onto my floor while I was away from home. Now those pieces of wood have a ripple effect. How do I repair back to the smooth glossy look?
