Cream shortening, brown sugar and eggs together. Mix in bananas. In second bowl mix together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Add flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, to banana mixture.
These protein cookies are nut-free, gluten free, egg-free, dairy-free and do not have any artificial sweeteners. They are really tasty to have at breakfast with coffee or tea.
I have an organic garden where we grow a lot of fruit and vegetables. We have a lot of banana trees that produce year-round. At times we have so much that we end up selling them to the local markets or giving them away to our family.
