A pan of peach cobbler with a serving removed.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 large can peach slices packed in heavy syrup

Directions:

Melt butter in 8x8 inch pan. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add milk; gradually; stir until fairly smooth. (Don't worry about small lumps.) Spoon batter over melted butter. Do not stir. Remove peach slices with fork and place over batter. Do not stir. Drizzle peach juice over all. Do not stir. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until batter rises to top and is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream or cream.

Spray a 13x9x2 inch cake pan with Pam. Spread the pie filling in the pan. Dump the dry cake mix over the pie filling. Sprinkle the oatmeal over the cake mix.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place peaches in prepared dish. Cut each slice of trimmed bread into five strips and lay them over the peaches in a single layer.
