My daughter is ten in 3 weeks, what to do?

How about a tie-dyed party? I'll give you links to show you how to do shirts, make magnets, tie-dye cake, and psychedelic ice cream.
Invites: "Here's a party you'll be "DYE-ING" to go to!". Then give details. You can make the invite a shirt that they open for the info.

Have balloons and streamers to match your dye-color theme. Fun games can be: M&M Hunt game (a treasure hunt where baggies of M&M's are hidden and each color has a point value, but girls don't know until the end when they're all counted!)>>
Relay Race with Balloons: pairs of girls put a balloon between their backs and have to rush going sideways to the "finish line" and dump the balloon into a basket, if it drops, they start over. Have 2 teams.
Remember to provide large baggies for girls to carry home their shirts (will need to dry for 24 hrs). Instructions should be on the familyfun.go site for how to do them.
Party store also sells tie-dye plates, etc. or you can use peace sign.
Take lots of pics and girls can use their new "magnets" to hold up a pic of them from the party on their fridge when they get home!
Why don't you ask your daughter what she wants?
IF and that is a big IF this year in Seattle, the weather is nice, why not do a picnic at the Seattle Center by the fountain. Dress them up, put on Tiaras and let them just run around outside. Maybe some organized games. OR if it is in your budget, take them to the Queen Mary Tea Room. Every time I go there I see the dressed up young girls having parties. And the desserts are amazing!
My daughter is turning ten soon and still doesn't have a party idea. She is a bit of a tomboy so she doesn't want a makeup theme. We can't do a sleepover, pool party, or bowling. She wants a big party with lots of people, but doesn't have any ideas what to do at home.
Please help. Any ideas would be great.
Is this party strictly going to be at home then? You could hold a party at the beach/lake (if you're near one), or even at the park that way you can have a lot of people come.
There are lots of ideas on pinterest.
If she's a tomboy sort of child, then do a theme that she loves. If she loves sports do this type of theme. I saw a cute came not long ago and it was on a smartphone. You had a timer and the game gave you a name and others had to give you clues, But what was funny about this is the person had to hold the phone on their head. If the answer was correct, they tipped the phone upwards and if it was wrong they tipped it downwards.
You can make games like this or use your own smartphone for this game. The person who wins will get some sort of a sports prize. I'd go to the dollar store to get the stuff.
Another fun one is at the dollar store get a bunch of YoYo's and have a YoYou game. You can get 5 and have 5 children play at a time. See who can keep it moving up and down the longest. In the end the one who wins each round moves up.
Another fun game is cup stacking. Have so many cups set up on each table, split the people into teams, now start stacking up cuts, the next has to align them again for the person behind to stack. The first team to finish wins.
A lot of games can be indoors and you can have fun with this if you think about it. Creating a few of your own games like cup stacking can be a lot of fun and the kids will love it.
You could make an obstacle course in your backyard. Softball or basketball is also an inexpensive choice.
Her birthday is in two weeks and we don't know where to have her birthday party. We can't have it at our house. Any suggestions?

What about a local park? Pack the cold stuff (including extra water if the temps are hot in your area) cake and treats in coolers, and tote a bunch of blankets or beach towels if you can't find or reserve picnic tables. Then, add a good scavenger hunt game (natural things the kids could find in the park) to the festivities to tie into the outdoor locale theme.
I love Kansas Cindy's ideas! Also, check out the local playground. If you have some money to spend on this, maybe the bowling alley, especially since a lot of these have kids' specials in the summer and you can get a really good deal. The town pool might be a good idea - a lot of them are free for residents, and many of them have picnic tables. If you live in an area that has a lake or a beach, that might be fun. Really, any pretty picnic area would work. Happy 10th birthday! :)
I'm planning to take my daughter out to take photos and eat a buffet for her 10th birthday. But unfortunately, she wants to bring 2 of her friends with her.
I'm afraid it'll cost too much. What will I do? Help! It is 9 more days until her birthday, and 3 until I send the invitations!Why don't you do something cheaper and include her friends? You are making memories. You could make pizza English muffins and then go out to a movie. You could even have a sleepover.
My daughter is turning ten and she is having a sleepover, but one of her friends is on crutches. We don't know what to do. We were going skating or bowling, but because of the crutches we need to think of something else.

I had the same trouble with my 10 year old girl. I think that since turning 10 is special, the best ideas for a 10 year old girl are Pamper parties, a disco party, a Hawaiian themed birthday party, a movie night in your backyard or a slumber party.

You could use clean paint cans which have never been used and place in them, food items-ketchup, mustard, pickles and so forth or silverware. You could also use new paint brushes for applying ketchup and other condiments. Also you can have your daughter help make "paint rags" napkins by taking white material and splotching fabric paint. Just something to get you started.
