Bread Machine Error Codes

June 7, 2020

As I tried to start my Welbilt bread machine after adding all the ingredients I got an error that said HI. I suspect it's related to the temperature of the water which had gotten a little more than warm (boiling). I can't find this code. Help? It's working now so maybe it cooled down.

Thank you!!!

That is exactly what happened, the machine is sensitive to temperatures. It got to warm and needed a little time to cool down and reset to the proper temp to restart!

When adding the water to the machine it is recommended to use the hot water from the tap and not try to boil the water. If you are heating water on your stove use a thermometer to regulate the temperature of the water before adding it to your machine. These machines are very sensitive and if your water is too hot you will receive an error code on the machine until the water has cooled oof enough for the machine to work again.

You can find the answer in your product booklet or online at the manufacturer's website.

Needed a second bread machine. Bought a used Chefmate HB-215. It keeps showing error code E:03 every time you try to set anything that reading comes up. Anyone familiar with what it means?

It looks like sites are saying the E:03 error code generally means the same thing for all breadmakers.
"That message is the machine telling you that it is TOO HOT to bake a loaf of bread. It usually comes on when you have baked a loaf of bread and then try to a bake another one before it completely cools off. If you are getting that message with a cold machine then you have a problem that will require repair or replacement."

If this "too hot" doesn't sound like your problem, then you may be better off calling several of your local thrift stores and asking if they have any bread machines as their cost will certainly be less than a repair shop repair.
Most thrift stores have one or two bread machines at any given time.

I have had good luck with calling my local Sears service center (or anySears service center) and asking them what it means.
They usually have compatible manuals if you wish to buy one.
www.service-center-locator.com/.../sears-service-center.htm

About a manual:
"Since practically all bread machines work the same simple way, you don't need the manual if you read the excellent instructions at the following website. The following website tells you how to operate a bread machine, even if you don't have the manual. It also includes great recipes (and you can easily find many more recipes online). Using the following website, I was EASILY able to figure out how to use my Chefmate bread machine even though I didn't have a manual."

What brand of bread machine do you have? Check the instruction booklet. Don't have one? Search online for the brand's website.

H.E., That usually stands for Heating Element. The little coil thing in the bottom of your maker, that looks like the piece in the bottom of your oven. They are usually pretty easy to change. The bread maker has to heat the bread to help the yeast make it rise. I hope I was of help? :)

My Welbilt Bread machine (model AMB2900) is giving me an error message (ERR) when I attempt to start it. I can't seem to find an answer to the meaning of the error message just yet. Hope someone here has a better lead/suggestion.

My Black & Decker bread machine B6000c is displaying an error code E01. It is supposed to mean the machine is too hot to run from cooking a previous loaf and needs to cool down before doing another loaf.

But I get the message when the machine is cold and hasn't been running. Anyone know how to fix it?

You can search online for an answer, check the booklet received with the machine, check the online site for customer service, etc.

You need to contact the company that made it, good luck.

Don't know what brand of machine you have, but after Googling the HHH error code I saw that other people have had the same problem with Sunbeam and Cuisinart; one suggestion was that if a loaf is taken out before the cycle is set to end, the code may come up;in that case, unplug the machine, wait fifteen minutes and try again.

Another possible reason was putting in a second loaf too soon after the first one ended; the unit needs to cool down in-between. If you don't think either of these might be the reason why yours is doing it--I'd go with kffrmw88's post--contact the manufacturer.

I have Nakamura NPA-100l bread maker and last night when I tried to make a loaf of bread while it was mixing the ingredients it started beeping and I saw the error code HE:02 on the display. Can someone tell me what it means? I unplugged the device and then plugged it in and got the same error message on the display. Also, none of the buttons work.

It would help if we knew the brand of the machine as each manufacturer uses their own codes. You can find the code meaning in the product manual that came with the machine.

Also, some manuals are available online for a cost.
