Last year, early one morning, I put together and posted a very nice tour of a few of my flowers in bloom. This tour was not planned, so don't expect anything fancy.
We tried lots of new veggies in the garden this year including spaghetti squash. Yum! Great year for apples too. Wishing you all a wonderful autumn!
This is our wildlife garden. The bushes, pond, and pond plants all provide habitats for many wild creatures such as insects, birds, and frogs. Bug boxes are located in various places for insects to overwinter.
During the summer, I had beautiful sunflowers growing. I will seed sunflowers again next season.
Last year my grandson and I cut down several forsythia shrubs along the northern edge of the side yard. The stumps still need to dealt with. This year I have focused on planting two lilac bushes further into the yard to ultimately help reestablish a green border between my yard and my neighbor's. There will also be a native mock orange placed along this same line, soon.
This page contains summer garden flower photos. Garden blooms are a fun to photograph and can brighten up any day year round.
We recently purchased a new house, and are thus repeatedly surprised to learn what is growing in it. This is a shot of the sheer amount of purple in our front yard a couple of weeks ago.
This is my "yellow garden". The yellow bush daisies planted behind the yellow lantana along with the artificial daffodils used for filling in the bare spots (tee hee) compliment this gorgeous bench that a past customer from New York "donated" to me.
We have a summer home in Fenwick, Island, De. My husband is a avid surf fisher. I decided to create a small beach garden for him at our main home in NJ. I've placed it for him to see as he leaves for work everyday.
This is what my garden is all about. The beautiful colors, smells, and tastes! It is like a piece of artwork when we harvest!
My mom loves to garden. She takes real pride in her plants and is always taking care of them.
