Making "Reindeer Food" is a great kids craft. This simple Christmas craft would also make a great gift for kids that you know.
Put 1/4 cup of oats in each baggie. Add 1/4 tsp. of both red and green sugar crystals. Seal baggie and shake to mix.
This cute poem can be printed on a colorful piece of paper and attach to each baggie:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night.
The moon will make it sparkle bright.
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
This will guide them to your home!
Have your kids sprinkle the "Reindeer Food" on the lawn on Christmas eve to feed Santa's reindeer.

First, take a small, clear bag, and add about a tablespoon of dried oats to the bag, add a tiny amount of glitter, and label the bag "reindeer food." Put the reindeer food on the front lawn, if you can.
Mix carefully. Add a dash of glitter just before spreading on front lawn on Christmas Eve.
A cute idea for preschool aged children is to mix up a batch of "reindeer food".
As a kid we always had animals and on Christmas Eve would put a box of hay on the porch for the reindeer. Every Christmas morning it would be all gone, eaten by the reindeers. Made me a believer!
