When making homemade carmel corn, try this! Wash your kitchen sink very well, I even spray it with a little rubbing alcohol and dry with a clean towel. Then cover your drain stopper with about 3 layers of foil (lay foil on top and form it around the stopper) and insert the stopper in the drain. Pour your popped corn in the sink, pour the caramel over it and mix. When you are done, all you have to do is clean the sink, it is big enough and it will not move while you are mixing.

Pop popcorn using package directions. Add corn syrup to margarine in saucepan. Stir in sugar, mixing well. Bring to a boil. Pour over popcorn. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
Heat oven to 200 degrees F. Divide popped corn between 2 ungreased baking pans, 9x13 inches. In saucepan; heat sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges.
Recipe for Caramelized Popcorn. Mix first 4 ingredients and cook over low heat until light brown in color. Pour over peanuts and popcorn. Stir to coat and let cool.
Heat until all is dissolved. Pour over warmed popped corn. Stir or mix real good. Bake 1 hour in 200 degree F oven. Stir one time while baking.
