Eggless Ice Cream Ingredients

Somebody (can't remember who, sorry!) recently requested ice cream recipes without eggs. Here's one finally:

Ingredients

  • 10 cups light cream
  • Advertisement

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

Pour cream into gallon-size freezer. Gradually add sugar, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Stir in vanilla and salt. Freeze as directed by the manufacturer of your ice cream maker.

I'm looking for an ice cream recipe for use with an electric machine that uses condensed milk but doesn't use eggs.

Here is one that does not use eggs...I have made it many times with different fruits and jell-o...It is good every time.

Enjoy.

Papa's Easy Ice Cream
1 large package instant vanilla pudding
1 can sweetened condenced milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 gallon of milk
Mix the first three ingredients with about half the milk useing an electric mixer. Stir in enough of the remaining milk to fill ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. For variety: add one cup sweetened and chopped strawberries and one small strawberry Jell-O or use peaches with peach Jell-O. Enjoy !!!!!

This one doesn't use milk, but is very good.

BIG RED ICE CREAM

I love this on nice warm days and it is not hard to make.
1 can carnation sweet condensed milk

1 pint fresh strawberries or pack of frozen without sugar
1 large bottle of strawberry crush soda or Big Red, I cant remember if it is one or two liter bottle buy the big one and use as much as you need and drink the rest (Its the 2 liter)
1 packet of splenda sweetener.
Put the condensed milk and strawberries and sweetener in blender and add soda a little at a time so as not to foam over--I've done that a lot and had to clean up the mess. Blend well. Now pour into your ice-cream freezer and add soda to fill line. Now you are ready to close up and start your machine. Mine is automatic and cuts off when ice-cream is ready. You will know the instructions for yours.
Variations: Orange soda and mandarine oranges or peaches.

This is the recipe I use~

1 quart half and half
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 T. vanilla

Mix well and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Follow manufacturer's directions for your ice cream maker, or pour into container and place in your freezer (stir mixture after an hour, to break up any ice, then put back in freezer until frozen).

Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.

Thanks for the recipes. I ended up just partially thawing a bag of frozen strawberries. I put them in my vita mix (supposedly ice cream can be made in the vitamix but I don't really like the results) and dumped in a can of condensed milk and a little milk and mixed it up. Then I put it in my ice cream machine. my husband liked it (I don't like ice cream so I'll have to take his word for it).

I find it easier to use an ice tray to freeze liquids before putting them in the Vitamix. We make yummy egg nog ice cream when egg nog hits the stores at Christmastime.

When frozen, take the egg nog ice cubes out and put them into the Vitamix. Pour a splash of liquid egg nog into the Vitamix to soften it up. Keep on Variable Speed #1 and use the tamper to push down the egg nog cubes. Voila! Egg nog ice cream! And what's awesome is that you can freeze all the cubes you want/need and put them in an airtight container in the freezer -- this way you can have egg nog ice cream long after it's out of season.

Papa's Easy Ice Cream is the same recipe my mother, who hated eggs, used to make ice cream and we loved it! Thank you for helping me remember her and her ice cream recipe so now I can make it for my family. Mom has been gone for 10 years, I used to call her for this recipe and when I would start to write it down she would always say," Don't write it down honey, It's easy to remember!" so much for my memory.LOL

My daughter had this recipe in one of her little cook books. It's an easy ice cream recipe that is actually pretty good.

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 cups heavy whipping cream
2/3 cup chocolate syrup.

Mix the sweet milk and chocolate syrup together (great job for kids!)
Whip the heavy cream in another bowl until stiff peaks form. Then fold it into chocolate mixture. Stir until it the chocolate is blended well.

Line a loaf pan with foil. Pour the whole mixture in then cover with foil and freeze for six hours or more. When it's solid peel the foil off and enjoy your "brick" of ice cream. Store any leftovers in foil in the freezer.
