Blowing a mixture of liquid soap, paint, and water through a straw make colourful bubbles that can turn a surface into beautiful art when popped. This is a craft I like to do with my little nieces and nephews, but I blow the bubbles so they don't accidentally ingest anything. This can also be done with water soluble food colouring.

Total Time: 20 minutes
Supplies:
1 cup or bowls
dish soap
acrylic paint
water
straw
cardstock paper
Steps:
Add a few drops of dish soap and a few drops of acrylic paint into a cup.
Mix with your straw. Add a few tablespoons of water, then mix again.
Use the straw to blow enough bubbles to come out of the cup a bit.
Gently place your paper over the bubbles.

The bubbles will pop and leave a colourful imprint on the paper.
Try different colours of paint in different sized containers.
Repeat to pop on the same paper.
To make darker, more saturated imprints, blow more bubbles then lay them onto the paper to sit a bit.

Continue with more colours. These make excellent book covers.
You and children of any age can make these simple "paintings" with just some bubble solution, bubble wands, food coloring, disposable cups, and white paper.
In a 6 - 8 inch bowl, mix together water, drops of food coloring, liquid detergent and starch. Using a straw, blow bubbles into the mixture until the bubbles form a structure above the rim of the bowl.
Combine water, dish soap, and dye to make a nice mixture for blowing a bowl of bubbles. Then lay a piece of paper over them and tap to create a beautiful bubble design on your paper.
