Boil broccoli until tender crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes, and drain.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan on medium low, remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Stir in almonds and pour over broccoli just before serving.

Discard large broccoli leaves and tough ends of stalk. Wash broccoli well. Split each stalk lengthwise into halves or quarters depending on size. Steam broccoli about 15 minutes, until stalks become tender-crisp.
Fresh broccoli steamed with sautéed almonds makes a delicious side dish.
