................, and how**
There he met a dame
Who took his watch and chain
Well, to the sheriff he went right away
Said "You gotta find that gal today"
When they asked him how she looked
They all heard him say

Oh, she looks like Helen Brown
Oh, she looks like Helen Brown
Rosy cheeks and eyes of blue
When she smiles, I'm tellin' you
She looks like Helen Brown
She's the hottest gal in town
When she goes by, the boys all cry
She looks like Helen Brown

She looks like Helen Brown
Yes, she looks like Helen Brown
When she's dressed in green or grey
Scotsmen through their dough away
She looks like Helen Brown
She's the hottest gal in town

Oh, she looks alright when she's dressed in white
But she looks like Helen Brown

(Oh, she looks like Helen Brown) And how
She looks like Helen Brown
When that baby starts to strut
Ev'rybody loves her, but
(She looks like Helen Brown) Yessir
She's the hottest gal in town
She knocks 'em dead dressed up in red
But she looks like Helen Brown

Anybody know a song where part of the chorus goes 'Is this devotion or is it just emo-o-o-tion?' Sounds like Hip-Hop fused with dance-hall with male vocals circa 1990's. First line "Well listen dis cause it a brand new style".

I am trying to find a song that was out about 1993. It was about your roots. The man talked about listening to your family about your past, you will need it someday. A lot about just listen to your roots. That's all I can remember. If anyone can help let me know.

I'm guessing that it is country? Can you think of more words? My friend is one of them that know music trivia.

There's this song I heard in church today and it goes "As a church we rise against the enemy, strength and power in your name as we stand triumphantly". Then it goes "You are the answer". If you could please help me with the name of the song I would be so happy. Thank you!

Why don't you try Googling "church hymns - "you are the answer" and see what you get? That phrase sounds like a good title to me. have a lovely day and God bless you.

I don't remember ever hearing or reading that hymn. My suggestion would be to call the church and ask if they have a copy of that particular day's program and/or simply ask fellow church members if they know the name of the song.

When I get a song stuck in my head, I just Google the words I'm singing, usually gets me there, then I look for it on YouTube to see if that is the one.

I heard a country song on the TV Guide channel around early 2000s I believe. They showed a bit of the music video and it showed a father and his daughter shopping. I never knew the title of the song, but I remember a lot of the lyrics.

The lyrics are: " when I look down in this world I think about you and I cant help but see that everything's not what it use to be. I think about 8 years old big blues and a heart of gold." That's all I remember. Can someone please help me? I would really like to hear it again.

The name of the song is: 'I think about you' by Colin Raye. cmt.com is the site.
I tried to cut and paste the lyrics, but it wouldn't let me.
Hope you love this song as much as you used to and that it brings you joy.

My sister is 10 years older than I am, and when I was little she would sometimes sing me to sleep. She used to sing songs like One Tin Soldier, Puff the Magic Dragon (it was the early 70s after all) but one that has stuck in my mind is about a little boy in a shoe (I think).

All I really remember is that I used to love the song and one small line, "One sailor boy reached for his toy...". I keep thinking it may have been about Winkin' Blinkin' and Nodd, but I could be wrong. I'd love to find the title of the song and maybe even the lyrics. Thanks to all!

The line about the sailor boy isn't in it, but several groups such as the Mamas and the Papas and the Monkees did versions of Winkin, Blinkin, and Nod during the 70's.

I heard I song I liked today, but was unable to ask Siri or Shazam the lyrics. The song starts off with a repetition of, "Have you ever felt", (more lyrics here I think), then goes to something like, "I feel the fire in my heart". I hope that made sense. Does anyone have any idea what this song is?

Thanks!
