While living in Denver, I discovered that fresh baked cookies (even in a zip-locked bag) dried out quickly. By adding a slice of bread, the cookies stayed moist. Just change the bread when the slice dries out.
How do I store homemade cookies to keep the freshness for a few days?

I put wax paper over the cookies and top with a moistened paper towel. Place the container lid over the tap & close tightly.
