Saving Money on Table Linen

March 15, 2020

Where can I find larger tablecovers that will fit the width of our table? It is 70 inches wide which seems to be standard and only goes over the edge an inch or two. Where can I buy an 80 or 90 inch wide table cover so it looks nice on all sides. Even if I were to make them there would be a seem on the top of the table. Any ideas?

You do not give length but you will probably have to call around to find the larger sizes.

You might try calling some of your higher end stores in your area - maybe the malls - as they usually have a good variety for all occasions.
Just figure the length and width of your table and add however many inches you want it to hang over (double that for sides and ends and add to table length/width. This should give you a good idea of correct size you are wanting.
Bed, Bath & Beyond usually has larger sizes as well as rental shops (weddings etc.) and they sell to the public. Restaurants supply stores also have the larger sizes and if you want to find a lace cloth you'll need the same size cloth for underneath the lace.

Some people use a bed spread and these can be found in all styles/fabrics and sizes.
If you ever decide to make your own, you can always make a table runner to cover the seam down the middle.

These can be found online but it will either be custom made or you will have to do a lot of searching as sizes do not always come up correctly when searching.

i did find one that might be about the size you're looking for.

There are a number on Amazon. This is just one, but not sure if it is the width you need:

Where I am, when they were open, the restaurant supply places always had a huge variety of odd sizes. They often had them in heavy linen and plastic materials.

Often they were on sale if you bought off season...like red after Valentines day and green after St. Paddy's day.

Hope this helps get you in the right direction! Post back with updates!

When eating out at fast food restaurants, we are usually given too many napkins that end up in the trash. Now we fold them up and take them with us.

I love to have tons of dinner napkins, but I do not like the high price on them. I go to Walmart and look through their remnant bin for cheap materials.

I just took a remnant home that cost 39 cents and made four dinner napkins out of it.

Instead of paper towels, we use washcloths for napkins. We use old kitchen towels that don't seem pretty enough to hang up any more.
